Obey Fidelity Foundation, Besut - Working towards wellness, children education & nutrition. We witnessed the heartbreaking consequences of limited living & resources on the well-being of children, particularly those living in under privileged communities. These children face significant challenges in acquiring basic education, suffer from the debilitating effects of malnutrition. These dual challenges not only hinder their physical & cognitive development but also perpetuate the cycle of poverty, limiting their future opportunities.

Obey Fidelity Foundation is deeply committed to breaking this cycle by providing a ray of hope for these children. Firmly believe that education is a fundamental right & a powerful tool for their social & economic transformation. By offering educational opportunities, we aim to empower these children to overcome their circumstances, scaling up their dreams, build a future for themselves & to their communities.Furthermore, we recognize that malnutrition is a pressing issue that affects the overall well-being of a child. An adequate nutrition is crucial for their growth, cognitive abilities & improve their immune system. Through our project, we seek to address the nutritional deficiencies prevalent in these communities by implementing sustainable nutrition programs that go beyond just providing meals. We aim to educate children and their families about healthy eating habits, ensuring long-term positive health outcomes.

It is crucial to recognize that education, nutrition & healthcare are the basic fundamentals that every child must deserves. Unfortunately, over 40% of children under the age of five in India are underweight, stunted & primarily belong to poor communities. These children rarely receive adequate nutrition to meet their daily needs, resulting in severe malnutrition, stunted growth & other serious health issues. Sadly many of them do not make it beyond 5 years of age.

In India over 40% of students drop out before completing elementary education (Grades 1-8), while the dropout rate for secondary education stands at approximately 17%.

A majority of children drop out of school because they do not have a support system at home to keep them in school. This is especially true when the syllabus becomes harder as in higher grades & they have no one to help them. 

Most of the parents whose children drop out of school are uneducated themselves. Hence these children do not get any support at home to study. Their parents cannot afford to send them to expensive private tuition either. Rs. 500 for monthly tuition is expensive for a family that earns around 8-10K per month. Over some time, these children lag behind & eventually give up on their education. Their families don’t push them either. This is the sad truth for many in the community we are working with.

Addressing these two challenges is crucial for ensuring inclusive & quality education & nutrition for these children.

Our campaign provides long-term educational & nutritional support to these children. You can support us by sponsoring a child for one year, six months or month wise. With a contribution of MYR 1,500 per month, you can provide them with a whole month's worth of tuition support, nutritious food along with boiled eggs, health drink & milk for the entire month.
